Your experience begins in Salvador, Bahia’s capital and cultural soul. Walk through the colorful streets of the UNESCO-listed Pelourinho, feel the rhythm of capoeira and samba, and savor the flavors of Bahian cuisine shaped by African, Indigenous, and Portuguese heritage.
From Salvador, travel south to the island paradise of Morro de São Paulo, where crystal-clear waters, palm-lined beaches, and a relaxed yet lively atmosphere create the perfect balance of leisure and excitement. Enjoy beach time, optional water sports, and breathtaking sunsets overlooking the Atlantic.
Continue to Boipeba, a tranquil island known for its preserved nature and laid-back charm. With no cars and minimal development, Boipeba offers pristine beaches, natural coral pools, mangroves, and authentic local life—ideal for travelers seeking peace and connection with nature.
The journey then reaches the Maraú Peninsula, home to some of Bahia’s most scenic coastal landscapes. In Barra Grande, enjoy calm turquoise waters, natural swimming pools at low tide, and a welcoming village atmosphere that blends comfort with simplicity.
Heading further along the coast, arrive in Itacaré, a destination famous for its surf beaches, Atlantic rainforest trails, waterfalls, and vibrant eco-adventure scene. Itacaré combines outdoor activities with excellent dining and a youthful, international vibe.
The tour concludes in Ilhéus, the historic heart of Brazil’s cocoa region. Explore colonial architecture, learn about the legacy of cocoa plantations, and relax along elegant beaches that inspired the novels of Jorge Amado.
This journey through Salvador, Morro de São Paulo, Boipeba, Maraú, Barra Grande, Itacaré, and Ilhéus offers a complete Bahian experience—combining culture, islands, rainforest, and coastline in one seamless and memorable adventure.

Important Notice for All Participants
As this journey begins in Salvador and continues along the Dendê Coast to Ilhéus, several meals and stops are arranged at traditional local cantinas. These simple, family-run establishments offer an authentic taste of regional cuisine and are an integral part of the travel experience.
Dining in these cantinas provides insight into local life, flavors, and culinary traditions that define this coastal region. While facilities may be modest, the food is fresh, flavorful, and reflective of the culture and hospitality of the communities you will encounter along the way.
Itinerary
Arrival at Salvador International Airport and transfer to your hotel in the Barra neighborhood. After check-in and some time to rest, if you arrive on an early flight, we recommend a leisurely walk along the Barra promenade and a visit to Praia do Porto, one of the most charming and welcoming beaches in Salvador.
Take time to enjoy the sunset in this area, where the local atmosphere comes alive with beachfront bars and open-air terraces. It is the perfect introduction to the relaxed rhythm, colors, and energy of Salvador.
Overnight in Salvador de Bahia.
After breakfast, it is time to explore the iconic Pelourinho, the historic heart of Salvador and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Stroll through its colorful colonial streets and discover key highlights such as the São Francisco Church and Convent (famous for its gilded interior), Salvador Cathedral, Largo do Pelourinho, and traditional squares animated by music, capoeira, and local artisans. The area reflects the deep Afro-Brazilian heritage that defines Salvador’s identity.
Conclude the visit with a traditional Bahian almoço, where you can sample regional specialties such as moqueca, acarajé, or fresh seafood, rich in local flavors and history.
After lunch, return to the hotel or enjoy free time at your leisure. Those who wish may continue exploring the city, visiting the nearby Mercado Modelo and waterfront area, ideal for shopping for handicrafts and experiencing local daily life.

After breakfast, an early-morning transfer takes you to Morro de São Paulo, located in the Tinharé Archipelago. Your driver and guide will escort you to the Salvador pier, where you will board a catamaran for the direct crossing to Morro de São Paulo.
In case of adverse sea or weather conditions, the journey will be made by road to the region of Valença, followed by a short boat transfer, ensuring a safe and comfortable arrival while avoiding weather-related inconveniences.
Upon arrival in this car-free island village, enjoy the freedom to explore on foot. Walk along the sequence of beaches leading to the coconut groves near Third Beach (Praia 3). Swim in natural pools, relax on the sand, or simply unwind on any of the beautiful beaches surrounding the village.

The peninsula has no paved roads, making a buggy tour one of the best ways to explore the region. Discover the heavenly beaches of Barra Grande, starting with a stop at the Lighthouse Hill, where panoramic views reveal the full beauty of the coastline.
Continue to the renowned Taipu de Fora Beach, famous for its crystal-clear waters and expansive natural pools. In the late afternoon, head to Ponta do Mutá to arrive in time for sunset, when sandbars emerge and create the perfect setting for a refreshing swim.

Continue the journey to the Cassange Lagoon, separated from the ocean by a long, narrow strip of sand. This unique landscape allows you to enjoy both calm lagoon waters and the open sea within just a few steps.
The day concludes at the secluded beach of Algodões, where crystal-clear blue waters and an almost untouched shoreline create a true paradise for those seeking peace, tranquility, and moments of isolation in nature.
Overnight in Barra Grande.
After breakfast, transfer to Itacaré and check in at your hotel. Once a small fishing village, Itacaré has evolved into one of Bahia’s most iconic surf destinations, while maintaining its relaxed and authentic character.

Following the briefing, continue to a nearby fazenda along the river, where the rafting adventure begins. Navigate exciting rapids surrounded by lush Atlantic rainforest, combining adrenaline with spectacular natural scenery.
